Accelerating The Benefits

Proper Nutrition + Regular Exercise + Select Supplements = Accelerated Benefits

Proper Nutrition is the basis of health, and Regular Exercise is the catalyst of health.  In addition, certain select Dietary Supplements can strongly contribute to health and help accelerate the health benefits derived from taking Potentiated Magnesium (pMg).  Also, a daily, high-potency multi-vitamin/mineral dietary supplement (that doesn’t contain excessive amounts of calcium or iron, which can be counterproductive) is known to be beneficial by generally supporting health and function, and serves as a good base for adding other dietary supplements.

Important: Always consult your doctor before starting any dietary supplement or exercise regimen.

Heart Health & Blood Flow Support

Dietary supplements believed to help support normal heart health and function, and support normal blood flow:  Magnesium (1,000 mg/day) and Vitamin C (2,000 mg/day) from pMg (8 tablets/day), Vitamin E (400-800 IU/day), Fish Oil Caps (2-4 caps/day), Coenzyme Q10 (100-200 mg/day), N-Acetyl Cysteine (600-1,200 mg/day), Garlic Caps (600-1,200 mg/day), and Nattokinase (100 mg/day) – taken with plain water in divided doses with meals.

Important:  Nattokinase, a fermented soybean-derived fibrin-inhibiting enzyme, inhibits blood clot formation and therefore should not be taken with blood thinning drugs such as Coumadin® (warfarin) without the approval and guidance of a knowledgeable medical doctor.  This same caution also applies to Vitamin E, Garlic Caps, and possibly Fish Oil because of their potential blood thinning effect, and should only be taken with doctor approval and guidance.  (Coumadin is the registered trademark of Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.)

Other dietary supplements that are believed to help support normal heart health, blood flow, circulation, and normal function of the vascular system include:  A form of vitamin E known as Tocotrienol (50-100 mg/day), Dimethylglycine (DMG) (125 mg/day as sublingual tabs), Vitamin D3 (800-2,000 IU/day), the capillary supporting bioflavonoid Rutin (500-1,000 mg/day), the herb Hawthorn (1-2 standardized caps/day), the herb Horse Chestnut (1-2 standardized caps/day), 100% Whey Protein Powder (1-2 tablespoons mixed with water per day), and D-Ribose Powder (1 level teaspoon/day) which should be taken with food or juice to help offset its blood glucose lowering effect.

Important:  D-Ribose Powder, a pure carbohydrate sugar that helps maintain healthy energy levels in the heart and in the muscles, can interfere with glucose uptake or insulin utilization and therefore should not be taken by those with glucose or insulin problems without the approval and guidance of a knowledgeable medical doctor.

Baby Boomer Blood Flow – As we age it is especially important to maintain healthy blood flow and circulation, and to prevent blood clots from forming within the vascular system.  It is well known that sluggish blood flow and blood clot formation can precipitate a cardiovascular event, especially in the morning upon arising or after consuming a large fat-laden meal.  According to the American Heart Association, most cardiovascular events occur in the early morning hours when the blood flow is especially sluggish, or after a large fat-laden meal that thickens the blood, or after strong emotional stress or unaccustomed physical activity, and blood clots can readily form after sitting or being inactive for long periods.  Therefore, it is especially important for Baby Boomers (those born 1946-1964), and older adults, to engage in regular daily exercise (walk 30/100 daily), not sit or otherwise be inactive for long periods.  Dietary supplements believed to help support normal blood flow include:  Magnesium, Garlic Caps, Nattokinase, Vitamin E, Fish Oil Caps, Coenzyme Q10, and N-Acetyl Cysteine.  It is known that the consumption of fat-laden meals causes the blood to thicken, and the arteries to stiffen and lessen their normal flexibility.  It is believed that taking 1,000 mg of Vitamin C and 800 IU of Vitamin E just before consuming a fat-laden meal helps the arteries maintain their normal flexibility (and magnesium helps relax the arteries).  Four tablets of pMg yields 1,000 mg of Vitamin C, plus 500 mg of supercharged Magnesium.

Walk 30/100 daily is walking for 30 minutes a day, at a vigorous 100-steps-per-minute pace.  For even greater heart-health benefits and to build endurance, consider implementing a form of Interval Training known as Runwalking (i.e., walking at 30/100 and periodically intersperse jogging for 1 minute several times throughout the walking session – optimum is to build up to 1 minute walking and 1 minute jogging for 15-20 minutes).

Profound heart health benefits were seen in as little as six months, as demonstrated in the research studies in the patents.  Thus, something that took many years or even decades to develop was demonstrated to be reversed in only a few short months, and did so completely naturally by supporting the normal balance, stability, structural integrity, and normal function of the cardiovascular system – which is the essence of what Potentiated Magnesium (pMg) is all about.  (Reference: U.S. Patents 5,849,337 and 6,372,264, and the other worldwide patents in Canada, Japan, China, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.)

Only Potentiated Magnesium (pMg) has the potential to prevent and reduce the physical presence of dystrophic calcification, with or without the other indicated dietary supplements, simply because only the essential mineral magnesium when in adequate supply can balance calcium metabolism.  The other dietary supplements act only to accelerate the heart-health benefits seen with pMg, and contribute synergy with their own heart-healthy benefits:  Vitamin E – An antioxidant that supports normal blood flow and vascular tone;  Fish Oil Caps (omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil) – Helps tame arterial inflammation;  CoQ10 – Supports cellular energy production and normal heart function;  N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) – Helps inhibit excess homocysteine levels, helps breakdown toxins, and is a glutathione precursor (the “master antioxidant”) which helps keep other antioxidants active (especially vitamins C and E);  Nattokinase – Helps support normal blood flow and inhibit blood clot formation in blood vessels by helping to normalize fibrin levels.

Super Shake – The homemade Super Shake may also make a contribution toward accelerating the benefits.  Super Shake recipe: 1 rounded teaspoon* of Konsyl® 100% Natural Psyllium Fiber; 1 or 2 rounded teaspoons of Kyo-Green® Energy Powdered Drink Mix; 1 level teaspoon of D-Ribose Powder (not for use by those who have blood sugar problems without their doctor’s approval); and 1 heaping teaspoon of Biochem® 100% Whey Protein Powder.  Optionally add to the Super Shake any one (or all) of the following: 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil, 1 packet of Sun Chlorella® “A” granules, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and/or ¼ teaspoon cinnamon.  Mix dry ingredients together, add about 10-12 ounces of pure, plain water, add other liquid ingredients (if any), stir vigorously, and drink quickly (before the psyllium fiber has had a chance to thicken).  Follow with 4-8 ounces of plain water.  *Note that first-time users of psyllium fiber should increase to the optimum of 1 rounded teaspoon very gradually over several days – in increments of only about ¼ teaspoon at a time to avoid the bloating, gas and cramping that psyllium fiber can cause if too much is taken before the body has had an opportunity to adapt.  Best results were experienced by drinking the Super Shake once daily, after a meal.  To avoid temporary gas and stomach cramps, do not consume sugar or fat-laden food immediately after consuming psyllium fiber.  (Registered Trademark Ownership – Konsyl: Konsyl Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; Kyo-Green: Wakunaga of America Co., Ltd.; Biochem: Country Life Vitamins; Sun Chlorella: Sun Chlorella Corp.)

Note:  None of the other indicated dietary supplements, either individually or in combination with each other, were able to reduce the physical presence of dystrophic calcification and balance calcium metabolism – only Potentiated Magnesium (pMg) demonstrated that ability in the research studies in the patents.  The other dietary supplements acted in a synergistic fashion only to help accelerate the health benefits seen, while pMg was the pivotal factor.

Potentiated Magnesium (pMg) helps support normal heart health, blood flow and circulation, respiratory function, cellular function, muscle function, energy production, glucose uptake, and helps prevent premature aging.

Potentiated Magnesium ® and pMg® are the exclusive registered trademarks of Maxcelint Laboratories Inc., and is patented in the U.S., Canada, Japan, China, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom – with these patents specifically demonstrating the profound health benefits of pMg.

Muscle Strength, Sport Performance, & Immune Support

Dietary supplements believed to help support normal muscle function and strength:  Magnesium (500-1,000 mg/day), Vitamin C (1,000-2,000 mg/day), and Zinc (40-80 mg/day) – taken at meals and especially at bedtime (which is when exercised muscles rebuild), from Go To The MAX Potentiated Magnesium plus Zinc (MAX) (4-8 tablets/day).

MAX supports increases in muscle strength only when engaged in regular exercise or physical activities.  Maximum results have been seen when gradually increased (over a period of 3-4 weeks) to a maximum intake of 4 MAX tablets taken after meals, and a maximum intake of 4 MAX tablets taken at bedtime (for a total maximum of 8 tablets per day), along with regular strength-building exercises such as weight training.  For those engaged moderate exercise, 4 MAX tablets a day (taken at bedtime) is optimum.  This level of MAX intake (4 tablets a day) is also optimum for immune system support (for extra immune support at times of need, such as during the Winter season, 8 MAX tablets a day taken in divided doses, for 7-10 days, can provide an extra boost for the immune system).  The immune system benefits of MAX also helps speed workout recovery.

MAX only works for increasing muscle strength, endurance and achieving peak physical performance if engaged in regular exercise, such as strength-building exercises, Weight Training, or other forms of regular physical activities.  (See “Get The Most From Your Workout With MAX” for a description of strength-building and Interval Training exercises.)

Important:  Do not exceed 100 mg of zinc per day.  If taking more than 50 mg of zinc per day, for 6 weeks or longer, be sure to take 1-2 mg of the mineral copper to avoid a copper deficiency.  (See “Zinc” and “Copper” in the “Magnificent Minerals” section for more details.)

Several independent studies have demonstrated an amazing 11% up to 56% increase in exercised muscle strength when taking the right kind and balance of magnesium and zinc together after exercise, especially when taken at bedtime.  Increased exercised muscle strength and endurance results were seen in only a few weeks.  (Reference: Journal of Nutrition 132: 930-935 2002; American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 72: #2, 585s-593s 2000; Medicine and Science in Sports & Exercise 31: #5, 483 1999; Journal of The American College of Nutrition 11: 326-329 1992; American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 49: 1295-1301 1989; Journal of Applied Physiology 62: 545-550 1987; American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 37: 407-415 1983)

Go To The MAX Potentiated Magnesium plus Zinc (MAX) contains a supercharged form of magnesium, vitamin C and zinc, together in exactly the right amounts and balanced proportions, and is exclusively produced by Maxcelint Laboratories Inc.  Not to be confused with unnatural and heart-damaging anabolic steroids, MAX is composed only of essential nutrients that not only naturally enhance exercised muscle strength, endurance, and peak physical performance, it also strongly supports normal heart health – the most important and hardest working muscle in the human body - and also helps support the normal function of the immune system.

Other dietary supplements that are believed to help support cardiac and skeletal muscle normal function, strength, endurance, and peak physical performance include: 100% Whey Protein Powder (1-2 tablespoons mixed with water per day), Niacinamide (250-500 mg/day – not to be confused with niacin), and D-Ribose Powder (1 level teaspoon/day) taken with food or juice to help offset its blood glucose lowering effect (D-Ribose Powder should not be used by those who have blood sugar problems without their doctor’s approval and guidance).

Go To The MAX Potentiated Magnesium plus Zinc (MAX) supports exercised skeletal and cardiac muscle strength, endurance, peak physical performance, energy production, and helps support the immune system.

Go To The MAX® is the exclusive registered trademark of Maxcelint Laboratories Inc., and is patented in the U.S., Canada, Japan, China, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Respiratory & Bronchial Function Support

Dietary supplements believed to help support normal respiratory function:  Magnesium (125-250 mg) and Vitamin C (250-500 mg) from pMg (1-2 tablets, once or twice a day), taken each time with Bromelain (300 mg) and Quercetin (250 mg) – taken together on an empty stomach 1 or 2 times per day (taken first thing in the morning and last thing at night is optimum).  An “empty stomach” means taken with plain water at about 20-30 minutes before consuming any food or drink (except plain water), and taken at least 2-3 hours after eating.  Optimum results were seen when 2 tablets of pMg were taken with 300 mg of Bromelain and 250 mg of Quercetin, taken together first thing in the morning and then repeated at bedtime.

ImportantpMg (and the other dietary supplements indicated) are not for chronic or acute respiratory tract conditions or attacks.  Bromelain, a pineapple derived protein digestive enzyme, should not be taken without doctor’s approval if there is a history of peptic ulcer or if allergic to pineapple.

Dramatic beneficial respiratory function results have been seen in only a few days.  Significant results were even seen when Potentiated Magnesium (pMg) was taken alone (without Bromelain and Quercetin).  However, the synergistic effect of Bromelain and Quercetin enhanced and accelerated the benefit of pMg.  (See “Bromelain” and “Quercetin” in “Special Nutrients II” in The Complete Nutrient Directory for more details.)

A pMg-based product that also contains Bromelain and Quercetin in a single tablet, in exactly the right amounts and balanced proportions, is scheduled for future introduction from Maxcelint Laboratories Inc.

Heart Rhythm & Heartbeat Support

Dietary supplements believed to help support normal heart rhythm and heartbeat:  Magnesium (1,000 mg/day) and vitamin C (2,000 mg/day) from pMg (8 tablets/day), and the amino acid Taurine (1,000 mg/day) – taken together with meals.

Important:  Any and all heartbeat arrhythmias (irregularities) should to be thoroughly evaluated by a medical doctor and heart specialist.

The essential mineral magnesium is well known to support the normal function of the heart (1,000 mg of magnesium per day from Potentiated Magnesium taken in divided doses with meals and at bedtime), and the amino acid Taurine (1,000 mg per day taken in a single dose with a meal or on an empty stomach).  The essential amino acid Lysine (L-Lysine, 500-1,000 mg/day) is thought to also help support a normal heartbeat, as well as support a healthy immune system.  Individual free-form amino acids are thought to be assimilated best when taken on an empty stomach, or with a meal that is low in protein.

Anti-Aging Support

Dietary supplements believed to help support normal aging, may help prevent premature aging, and may support the slowing of the aging process:  Magnesium (500-1,000 mg/day) and Vitamin C (1,000-2,000 mg/day) from pMg (4-8 tablets/day), Acetyl L-Carnitine (500-1,000 mg/day), and Alpha Lipoic Acid (100-200 mg/day) – taken together with meals.  Marine (fish oil) omega-3 caps (2-4 caps/day) are also thought to be useful for anti-aging support, in addition to supporting heart health.  Fish oil omega-3 essential fatty acids are thought to help slow or lower the rate of shortening of telomeres over time.  Telomeres, which are the tips at the ends of strands of DNA-carrying chromosomes (analogous to the plastic tips on the ends of shoe laces), become frayed and shorten as cells age, and serve as a biological marker of aging.  Longer telomeres are associated with health and longevity.  (Reference: Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Jan. 20, 2010, Vol. 303, No. 3, pages 250-257)

Antioxidants, plant-foods rich in antioxidants, and Vitamin D3 may also help support anti-aging.

Important:  Alpha Lipoic Acid should always be taken with meals to help offset its acidic nature.

Independently demonstrated structural and functional recharging of aging cells, and a partial reversal of the age-related decline and decay of mitochondria membrane function has occurred with the adequate intake of magnesium, vitamin C, acetyl l-carnitine, and alpha lipoic acid.  The mitochondria are the cell’s energy-producing organelles, often referred to as the cell’s “power plant,” and are considered the key to cell function and aging.  (Reference: The National Academy of Sciences; The Linus Pauling Institute; et al.)

Energy Production & Youthful Vitality Support

Dietary supplements believed to help support normal energy production:  Magnesium (500-750 mg) and Vitamin C (1,000-1,500 mg) from pMg (4-6 tablets).  pMg taken with or immediately after lunch has helped to prevent the low ebb of energy typically seen in office workers in the mid-afternoon.

Potentiated Magnesium (pMg) supplies the cells with the essential mineral magnesium and supports natural energy levels (as opposed to short-term artificially stimulated energy surges like those from sugar or caffeine) by naturally bonding with the mitochondrial-produced energy molecule adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to form the complete energy complex MgATP.  The consumption of sugar or the regular intake of caffeine throughout the day has proved counterproductive to sustaining natural energy levels.

Plus, pMg has also been useful at bedtime to help relax the muscles to help support a good night’s sleep.

Muscle Function & Leg Cramp Relief Support

Dietary supplements believed to help support normal muscle function:  Magnesium (250 mg) and Vitamin C (500 mg) from pMg (2 tablets) – taken with a liquid electrolyte replenishment drink that contains the important electrolyte minerals sodium and potassium (such as Gatorade®) immediately before strenuous physical exercise, or taken at the first sign of a muscle cramp, has helped support normal muscle function, and has demonstrated quick muscle cramp relief.  Such muscle cramp relief has occurred amazingly quick, providing relief within a minute or two after taking pMg and the liquid electrolyte replenishment drink – with pMg also helping to prevent a return of the cramp.  (Gatorade is the registered trademark of Stokely-Van Camp, Inc.)

Muscle cramps, spasms, and twitches are an indication of an imbalance of the electrolyte minerals, especially the balance between calcium (too much) and magnesium (too little), and the physical overuse or unaccustomed activity of the muscle affected.  Such cramps are technically known as “use cramps” but perhaps should more accurately be called “overuse cramps.”

The role of calcium in muscle function is to trigger muscle contractions, while the role of magnesium in muscle function is to provide muscle relaxation.  When there is an imbalance between these two important minerals, it sets the stage for a muscle cramp.

The intense contraction of a muscle cramp can leave the affected muscle very sore for a day or two after the cramp.  That muscle soreness may help be relieved by massaging the muscle a couple of times a day until the soreness is gone, whereas the continued taking of pMg on a daily basis helps support normal muscle function.

A homemade electrolyte replenishment drink can be made by mixing in a glass of water the contents of one 99 mg capsule of potassium, ¼ teaspoon of sea salt, one teaspoon of sugar (unless blood sugar problems exist), and taken with two tablets of pMg.  Among its many functions, the mineral magnesium is also an essential electrolyte mineral, and the most powerful and effective form of magnesium has proven to be Potentiated Magnesium (pMg).

A pMg-based product that contains the most important essential electrolyte minerals, in exactly the right amounts and balanced proportions, is scheduled for future introduction from Maxcelint Laboratories Inc.
